Map of Winnall Moors Nature Reserve

In class we have been learning about maps and the different symbols. We have made our own maps and included a key.
We took Barnaby Bear to the nature reserve and explored the wildlife and surroundings.

We started our trip by looking at the spring wildlife board.

On our trail round the reserve, we enjoyed playing Pooh sticks over the bridge.

We saw lots of birds and wildlife, we really liked the swans. There were lots of streams which all intertwined and we liked seeing the reflections in the water.

We tried very hard to stand still and completely silent while we listened to all the sounds we could hear.  The water was rippling and the birds were whistling.

We all enjoyed our trip and when we had finished we had a picnic with Barnaby Bear in the nearby recreation ground. You can see it in the picture below, which shows a bridge leading into the grounds.

We had a lovely day out at Winnall Moors.
